ABOUT US
Established in 1995, the Detroit Hometown Championship (formally known as the UAW-Ford Hometown Championship, the Detroit Tigers Hometown Championship, and the Hometown World Series) seeks to highlight the talent of youth baseball and softball in the greater Detroit region.
The tournament unites the youth baseball and softball community by providing a first-class experience, using sports and entertainment to help highlight youth talents, showing them good sportsmanship and teamwork at the highest level. In addition, through youth interaction and competition, the event focuses on social diversity and inclusion, develops leadership skills, promotes citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and influences baseball and softball development and the well-being of young people.
The DAVAS Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that enriches the lives of youth aged 7-21 in the greater Detroit region, focusing on career exploration, educational enrichment, skill development, and competitive programs through sports.
